.... May Flowers!

Allergies aside, I know we are all waiting for the blooming to begin outside, so while were waiting, why not start with yourself instead!?
This month is really special in the Moksha community and it can be a time you also set aside to grow closer to your practice, your studio and your yoga community!

Bon Jovi was right when he said that "...no man is an island." We are pack animals that use our social groups for a variety of things: to feel supported, to feel comforted, to feel safe, to motivate ourselves and to challenge ourselves. By growing closer to those you practice with, you are in turn, telling each other that you get it. You understand what yoga has added to your life and you're happy that others have felt that same kind of 'shift', that change in perception much like cleaning off a pair of dirty glasses. Clarity.

When we're more tuned-in to the people around us, our individual practice is also affected. Everybody has had a neighbour in the studio they could have described as: "The heavy breather" or "The drip machine", but we've also had those experiences of intense unity with the person next to us or the person we can see in the mirror behind us. During this month of reflection, the attitude we bring into the room will either help or hinder that process and I know that some of the most beautiful class energy so far this year, is just waiting to be released during this 7 week dedication to practice.

Whether you officially register or not. Whether you practice more often or not. Know that this beautiful month of May is an opportunity for growth, personally and as part of the Moksha community. After all, when the blooming starts outside, we want to be ready to meet it with an equally open and hopeful attitude!

Off the Mat and Into the World!
We wanted to create a little forum for sharing some awesome things and amazing info with all of you!

In the spring, we had the great fortune of setting up a screening, here at the studio, of the documentary FOOD MATTERS. The makers of this phenomenal documentary have an equally phenomenal website full of tips, and resources for increased awareness with regards to food matters and overall health.
